I read the most awesome post over at Kentucky Kate's about just keeping it together. You moms know what I mean. My husband has decided to go on a mission trip for two weeks in January. To Africa. Two weeks. Not here, but in Africa. And I wonder, will I be able to keep it together? I sure hope so. As you can see, this is a matter of prayer for me. To change my heart. To be happy that he wants to help. I hate being left behind. That's how it feels.

On a lighter note, my baby is growing like a weed, learning new things every day...

Bethany has discovered her hands. She must've seen Rachel practicing with her puppet.

Anna had spaghetti for supper. Then Anna kissed my nice clean baby.

Kara, I'm sure the thought of behing home alone for two weeks with 6 kids is scary! Maybe the church can bring you meals. :) I think it's wonderful that Casey is able to go on this trip. Mission trips are life changing. Even though you can't be there with him, you'll still benefit from his experience. You're a good wife by trusting Casey's decision to go. Casey is fortunate to have a good help-meet who is as capable as you are.

Wow, remind me when that happens and I will be praying for you! Eric is going to Haiti for a week in November, so we can freak out together :) But mine is just a week with three kids. Yours is two with six, so I think I'll just mail you that bottle of tequila now :)

Kara - whatever you need, you know you have support and help. I can take your kiddos to school and pick them up in the pm. Not a problem. As the time gets closer, we all can figure out what you need and get it done. See you Tuesday!

You know I'm here for you too, whatever I can do. I was going to tell you that I could probably work it out so I could maybe drop the kids off at school in the mornings.

Oh, and thank you for letting me get in lots of cuddle time with Bethany the other night. :)

Oh Kara! I think Kelly has a fantastic idea of church bringing you meals! I will be praying for your heart on all that too!

A clean baby doesn't last long anyway. Its nice to get kisses even if they get you messy. It is really cute. I do feel your pain in I just got the baby clean and now I need to clean the baby again.

I am excited about Casey going with us. I will take good care of him (or is he taking care of me?) I am sure God will supply the help you need and the time will go by quickly. Thanks for agreeing to let him go. Trust God to take care of details.
