A pickin' and a grinnin'

This morning we went blueberry picking! We always take the kids, they do pretty good, but Thomas did have a meltdown about halfway through. He was fine after we walked out of the rows of bushes, like he was claustrophobic or something. Weird.

The first thing the kids do when we arrive at the blueberry farm is play on the tire swing! I always wanted a big tree in my backyard for one of those. Jenny and Barb had a tire swing. I think I'm still jelous.

Here is our neighbor Lou picking with the kids. She came along for the ride. Lou actually squeezed into the back seat between Adam and Rachel. You should have heard the 3 of them carrying on. Casey said quietly, "So this is what it would be like to have 5 kids." He cracks me up.

Casey ate about 10 pounds right off the bushes. The variety we picked this year was way better than last year. Very sweet.

Abby was just dead weight during the blueberry picking process, but man was she cute!

I can always count on my Buddy to eat my blueberry pie. Amanda tried blueberry pie for the first time tonight- she didn' t like it. I am still kind of sad about that.

Rachel update

Rachel went to the ear/nose/throat doctor today. The doctor decided she would greatly benefit from having her adenoids out. Ahhhh, no more snoring, mouth breathing, etc. I'm so happy this will be taken care of before school starts! The procedure is scheduled for August 15 at Covenant Harrison. Please pray for her on that day, we would greatly appreciate it.

MOPS Playdate

Today we went to Sandy's house for a playdate. THere were 5 moms and 10 kids. The kids had a ball playing with new toys in new territory. We moms enjoyed snacking and visiting. Rachel made sure Abby was included in checking out the new toys.

Thomas checking out Alex. He's such a good baby.

We need one of these in our back yard!!!

Olivia, Rachel, and Xander testing the water.

Ginnie had to make sure I was in a picture. I prefer to be behind the camera.

Family times

Here Abby is hitching a ride on Tommy. He loves his baby sister.

Tonight we were watching home videos from 2 years ago- TOmmy was just starting to walk, Adam and Rachel were on stage singing "Jingle Jingle Happy Bells, Jesus is born". Adam had little chubby cheeks from the Prednisone he was taking for his kidneys. I can't believe how different he looks now, that baby face is gone.

We have to label the diapers for the church nursery workers. "A" and "T" wasn't cutting it, so now they say "TOM".

Jenny misses Barb when she sees pictures like this.

Climbing

Here's my big girl, looking a little miscievious. (Note Adam in the background. What's his problem?)

She thinks she's pretty clever.

More bloggers!

Tracey and Steve have joined the blogging world!!! Their links are under my "blogging buddies" category. Tracey has pictures of the beach posted, their family is so fun!

Cathy- BEWARE!

I think this might be the culprit for your lackluster irises this year. I found the iris borer in my iris, and I just dug up Judy's to divide them, and there was this disgusting creature. He was actually mad at me. So I took his picture, then I KILLED him. They burrow all through the rhizomes and turn everything to mush. So divide your iris every 3-4 years, get rid of the old rotten parts in the middle. Man, I love the internet.

Haircut

Here are a couple pictures from Saturday morning after Amanda cut my hair. It was fun sitting in her living room looking out the big window as she worked her magic on me. My hair was really cute yesterday with a couple barettes for work, but of course I didn't get a picture of that.

Caseville

We had a great time Sunday afternoon with Steve and Tracey in Caseville! Tracey's whole clan camps for a week or more, and they have visitors come and go the entire time. We played on the beach, then went back to the campsite for a taco supper that Tracey's sister-in-law prepared. We even taught Steve and Tracey how to play quiddler that evening! We love the beach and we love the Delong's!

Another trip to the zoo

All Four Kids!

It's really hard to get a picture of the 4 of them looking at me, but I thought this was cute. Even Abby was checking out the sand. We obviously need a bigger sandbox, hopefully Casey will construct one next summer.

The Good Old Days

Does anybody else remember this song? It was one of my favorite Sesame Street songs, and now my kids love it!

Ben and Kelly's shower

Pam said, "See! He does eat!"

Kids plus food make great pictures!

My camera has a knack for catching people with their eyes closed.

I told you so.

Olivia has a play room that my kids would live in. The phone and the vacuum cleaner were favorites.

We used to play cops and robbers.. James plays iguana.

The ladies admiring the jello cups that Stephanie made.

Serious discussion happening here. I just tip-toed by...

Travis smiles big for the camera. Steph and Travis are great hosts. My burger was delicious, and so was everything else!

I just never get tired of seeing the belly. She really does look perfect.

It was fun for a minute, then Abby had a fit.

With your first baby you get tons of stuff! How many showers are planned for you Kelly?

The guys playing a game, I'm not sure who won this one.

John and his girls

P-U

Here are some pictures of the dirty diaper game from last night's shower for Ben and Kelly! It just never gets old, watching people stick their noses into a "dirty" diaper. Everyone tried their best to guess what kind of candy bar was melted in the diaper. Pam was the champion with all 9 correct! Good job Pam!
