Fall is Winding Down

There was a brief moment when they weren't attacking each other with the sticks, and they were kinda cute those boys of mine.

Are there ever days when you have a favorite child? No? OK, nevermind...

This is what Adam does during a Sunday sermon. Brilliant.

Here is the gang minus Chunky B. I was feeding her while Casey was getting the group photo. Of course I yelled at him because he didn't get close-ups of anybody. The bunny, the cowboy... I NEED CLOSE UPS!

Have you ever told Adam to draw a picture of the sermon? One of the speakers at Mom2Mom this year told us that before her kids were old enough to take notes of the sermon she had them draw pictures of what they were hearing. She brought in samples to show us and I was amazed at how much her young kids were learning - when we think it's all over their heads! She showed one picture her son drew of a house on fire. While the house was burning there was a man watching T.V. The message had nothing to do with fire or TV, but procrastination (a big word for a little guy). He later explained to his mom that the guy SHOULD be putting out the fire, but because he wanted to watch TV he told himself, "I'll do it later." But the house burned down, so we should not procrastinate. When I saw Adam's great picture I thought I'd share this suggestion with you.
Your kids look great!
P.S. My sister has favorites too. :)

What is it with boys and sticks?!It is just a boy thing I guess. Your kids look adorable(as usual) for Halloween. Aaron was a dinosaur hunter and Josh was a fedex man.
See you later.

Your comment about favorite kids was great!!
John Patrick says that Adam is "weally talented".
The last picture is precious. And don't feel too bad about not having close ups. I'm the photographer around here and didn't even take ONE picture of my kids. I'm a bad mom.

Kelly, that is a GREAT idea!

Liz, all is well! :)

Betsy, how in the world did you come with the FedEx man? That is great. And a dinosaur... I wouldn't have guessed that one. ;)

Krissy, you are the last person I would give the "Bad Mom" tag to. You are amazing.

Ha. I suppose it's inevitable when two women have a combined ten children between them, that there will be some Halloween costume match-ups. We also had a pumpkin and a camo-army-whatever guy, too. Very cute kiddos you have!
