A Success

Today I made the Iced Hermits from the Martha Stewart cookie book. Excellent. I know my picture looks like a bird flew over them as they came out of the oven, but try to get past that. They were fabulous. I did leave out the chunks of ginger that it called for, but who cares?!?!?! They were so good that the kids even ate them with raisins in them!

I've never heard of a hermit cookie either. Do I live under a rock? If they are as good as you say, post the recipe.

I had to look up what a hermit cookie was. Sounds good! Although there are a lot of ingredients. I have to say when I bake....less is best. I'm not the baker you are my friend. I'll just come by and sample some :)

Did you save one for me?

Oh Pam, they were easy cheesy.

Phil- I'm afraid I need to make more. I promise you a couple from the next batch.

They were good!
I'll be waiting for the next recipe.
Tonight for dinner I made a recipe I got from Betty Allen. It was Baked Chop Suey. Everyone like it! She brought it to a potluck one time.

Wow! I wasn't sure if you were kidding or not. Those are great cookies. How very thoughtful of you to bring me some. I have no idea how you do it all with 5 kids. But then I was never surprised that my mother cooked, baked, sewed, canned, gardened etc. and she had 6 kids. Of course hers were a little more spread out in age. Thank you very much. Casey sure caught a good one.
