School Program

Rachel had her Christmas program today at school. Each grade (K-5) sang 2 or 3 songs each. We were serenaded with songs from every genre: from Santa to Jesus in the manger (I was happy about that being public school and all) to a couple peppy Jewish tunes. The kids were beaming, the parents were beaming. My crappy camera didn't get any good pics, this is about it. Rachel is in the back row, her blond hair rather stands out. :)

With as much criticism as stores, schools, and restaurants receive for playing Christian music, you may want to consider sending a note to the school thanking them for allowing the kids to sing it.

I can't wait to see the kids in the Musicale on Sunday! :)

Kelly, that's a really good idea!

I love kids Christmas programs. I missed the kids having one this year. Apparently they quit having one because they weren't "diverse" enough. That's according to one parent, I have yet to figure out why the school says not to have one.

The program was good, wasn't it?
Actually I liked the Jewish songs as they were new to me and like you said, peppy. Aaron keeps making up new verses to "how many candles do we light". Although I don't think it has the same effect with "how many bath toys in the tub". I hope Adam wasn't on too much of a sugar high after the Curious George fruit snacks!

She does stand out. I can't believe there are so few that have blond hair. I hope she had fun. Are the three oldest going to be in the musicale on Sunday? Tommy is at the age that he would be fun to have up in front. You never now what he is going to do.

Yes, Tommy will be singing with Adams class, they are singing Away in a Manger. :) I honestly don't think he'll even try to sing, but he will do the motions.
