So I watched the debate, and I'm still voting for McCain. OK, so that wasn't the big news....
Rachel's first tooth came out today! She was eating supper and looked at me and said, "I want you to pull my tooth out." I was so happy, I felt so important. I barely had to twist it and out it came. She didn't even flinch. I didn't realize how emotional I would feel looking at that gaping hole. And then we read a story that Rachel brought home from the library called, "Love You Forever". Well, if that doesn't make you sob, I don't know what will. Such an emotional day around here!

Will it make you think less of me if I tell you that I laugh every time I read that story? When it rolls around to the part where the mom is sneaking in the window of her grown son's house, I just lose it.
When I read the title of your post, I thought maybe there was going to be a sixth little Veihl.
Melissa, I laughed at that part too! I couldn't figure out why she had a ladder on her car when I first saw the picture. :)
No 6th little Veihl. I'm enjoying not being pregnant right now.
I must say I haven't read the book. Sounds like it is a must read if I want a good cry.
Did the tooth fairy come last night?
Owen has that book too and I love it.
I thought I was going to hear a pregnancy announcement too. :)
Kelly, stop it! I have to have hernia surgery in a couple weeks and let those heal up before a 6th Veihl arrives. If a 6th Veihl arrives. I'm pretty content right now. :)
Tracey, it was so cute. She didn't want to put the tooth under her pillow because she wanted Daddy to see it first (he was at work when it came out). So it's going under the pillow tonight!
That book is terrible! It makes me weep!
How excited a simple life can be! Love it!
Yeah, I was wondering if it came out yet. She must be pretty proud.
Kara,
I have heard you describe yourself as content after you had ADAM and every child after him. When Anna isn't a baby I think that itch will come back. :)
You inspire me.
Kara, really is it that unlikely that we all thought this was a pregnancy announcement? I did too!
I can't wait to see a picture of Rachel without a tooth. It must change her whole appearance.
Oh and I have that book. James laughs and laughs everytime one of the kids reads it.
Pam, the weird thing is I can picture myself doing that with Adam.. I hope his wife doesn't mind. Jenny warned me about mothers and their sons. :)
To funny I told you needed a boy to make it even. Rachel is a big girl now. Try not to be to sad.
I thought that book was really creepy. Once you are sneaking into your son's home to rock him, it's creepy. I'll bet she's a terrible mother-in-law who won't let go! :)
What's funny is the book was written by a man... I wonder what HIS mother is like.
