First Day of School

So God had heard my prayer, and my first patient of the day cancelled. Upon learning this, the girls at the office were hollering "Go! Go!", and I was out the door rushing to see my daughter off to kindergarten! I was kind of sad that I didn't get to watch her make her own peanut butter and jelly sandwich, but that's OK. I saw her walk into her class and her teacher said, "I remember you!" (we just met her on Friday) Rachel was all smiles all day I'm sure. She loved it. I knew she would. I think she might be a teacher someday like her grandma Maude.

Wow! I can't believe that that little baby girl that we took care of so many times is now in kindergarten! I feel like crying. Maybe I will.

Don't worry Mom I shed a couple tears too. It might be my hormones all crazy, but probably not. She is such a big girl! I too am glad you got to see her off :)

Such a big girl, and so cute. I can just feel her excitement. Sounds like the others adjusted quickly also to her being gone. Glad you got to be there for the monumental occasion. :)

Wow! What a big change in your lives, eh? Does she go everyday all day?

I did forget to say she goes all day everyday! We were just sitting here eating lunch and we can hear the kids on the playground from our house. Adam said, "Let's go over there and see if we can see her!" No, we did not, but it was tempting!

WOW! That's a lot of school for such a little girl. I personally think our government pushes kids too hard too soon. I'm a teacher and all so I am for education, but I think you can learn a lot without sitting in a school all day. What's wrong with half day kindegarten or just going a couple days a week? I know I am rambling about things none of us can do anything about, but there, now you know what I think. :)

I always appreciate that, Kelly. One of our new MOPS moms has a little girl. I asked her if she wanted more, she said, "OH Yes! And I want to homeschool, too." I am always in awe of people who do that.

Our children are growing way to fast! The pictures are great. Good thing you were there, you are the camera women.
I'm so glad that she enjoyed her first day.
