Laurie called after lunch- she was officially discharged yesterday, but since Adie had to stay another day or two they let Laurie stay one more night. The feedings are going well, Laurie's incision is healing well, Adie has been pooping like a champion, so hopefully later today or tomorrow they will let Adie go home, too.
Thank you for your prayers and concern everyone! I can't wait to see my niece in person, they might stop later to borrow our cradle, so if they do, you know there will be a picture involved.

Was something wrong with Adie that they kept her so long?
First it was the jaundice, so they put her in the NICU to be on the billi lights. But then she kept spitting up a lot every time she ate, and wasn't having a b.m.. So they did x-rays on her tummy and put her on a saline solution for a while to get her tummy flushed out a bit. She did start to poop which helped with the jaundice, and she is doing better with keeping her milk down now, so everything seems to be alright.
I know Laurie will update everyone when they get home and settled. It is so hard when you have to go back and forth to the NICU.
Thanks for the update. I was wondering what was going on.
Glad to hear both Mama and Baby Adie are doing well. Yes, I think your idea regarding pictures is a good one....I'm thinking you would probably get to the posting before Laurie would! And, everybody wants to see the pictures!
Sarah
P.S.--> And by the way---I dub you "world's most faithful blogger" because that is just who you are Kara...don't try to deny it.
Sarah, I am so flattered! I just want everyone to be well informed. I know everyone was concerned about them. Dean really wants to go to church Sunday with Adie, Laurie said she will see how she feels by then. :)
Thanks for posting Kara! You are the most faithful blogger. :)
