After Jenny's comment of "baking soda fixes everything" and Kate's suggestion of maybe soaking in baking soda and water, I decided to go that route first. Unfortunately, after several hours of soaking, the lid smells like a cheap Mexican restaurant. So, on to Pam's suggestion of lemon juice. Wish me luck!
And yes, I know my hair is looking rather shaggy. That will also be taken care of this week. Yes Amanda, I'm talking to you.

Just two words - gasolene and matches.
You know you are going to end up going the gasoline and matches route. Why don't you just save the other items and skip to the fun!!!
I'll let you know tomorrow, boys. Don't get too excited.
maybe some Listerine?
So it smells like Los Quatros Amigos?
Kara,
I looked in my "Queen of Clean" book. Go to www.88stink.com
Mrs. Queen says this stuff called OderZout will get any smell out of anything. It is 100% natural, nontoxic so you can use it anyplace on anything where you have a smell or stink. The only thing is I don't know how much it costs. One testimonial said it got the burnt popcorn smell out of her microwave!
I hope the lemon juice works though!
